Lady Philomena Enwemaya-Ejiogu came to Incarnation after more than 30 years teaching in New York City schools, mostly at Intermediate School 238 (Susan B. Anthony) in Queens.
She has a bachelor’s in social science from Touro College, a master’s in education from the College of Saint Rose, and a master's in teaching social studies from Herbert Lehman College.
Community involvement is very important for Philomena. At St. Clement Pope Church, she is an extraordinary minister of the Holy Eucharist and a commissioned Bible study leader of the Greeters Class of Shekinah Glory. In the past, she has served as president of the Kiwanis Club of Cambria Heights, chairwoman of the Christian Women's Organization at St. Anthony of Padua Church, and church van driver at Christ the King Church.
She hails from Illah in the Oshimili Local Government Area in Anioma, Delta State, Nigeria. She is married to Chief Sir Obed Ejiogu, former President of the Igbo Organization Inc. NY. They are blessed with five children – Igwebuike Chukwemeka Jonathan, Chinomso Mathilda, Ijeoma Christine, Ugochinyere Victoria, and Chikodinaka Mary-Jane.
