I graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor's in Education and Spanish.
I have been happily teaching at Incarnation for 30 years! I taught third grade for 13 years, and then transitioned to fourth and fifth, and now I mostly teach Spanish for kindergarten to eighth grade. I've also been subbing the last 8 years part-time.
I enjoy the interaction I have with each student and each class. The highlights of the past years have been having students learn about Hispanic Heritage Month and Our Lady of Guadalupe, and doing projects related to those topics, including dressing as famous Hispanic people from history. We also construct seasonal greeting cards in Spanish, recite the Hail Mary in Spanish, play “Quien Soy Yo?” with riddles for famous people, create coats of arms for topics covered, and trace maps and flags of Spanish-speaking countries, among many other things!
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy preparing for these lessons with fun new facts, spending time with family and friends (especially at brunch), and attending Mass at my beautiful church.
